Continental have released more information about their new Conti.e.Contact range of tyres of hyrbid and electric vehicles, showing signs there are truly staying ahead of the game in ensuring they are a leading manufacturer in the industry.
According to Continental, the tyres which are designed specifically for hybrid and electric vehicles, offer rolling resistance levels that are 30% lower than those offered by conventional tyres, reports Tyrepress.
Lower levels of resistance have been achieved through using a larger tyre diameter which reduces deformation when entering the contact patch; though unconventional the design seems to have created impact. The new range has been optimised for low noise emission and safer braking distances on wet surfaces. Rolling distance has been further reduced by a flat contour which prevents belt elements in the tyre from further movement.
The range has been developed in Germany with leading car manufacturers across Europe. With Continentals new advertising campaign also set in motion, they are paving the way to become a leading tyre supplier in the future of the car industry; hybrid and electric.
