Bridgestone have now announced that they has extended their lease to test tyres on the brink of the Artic Circle. Less that 100km away from the edge of the Artic Circle, the Swedish ground allows Bridgestone to test winter tyres for up to 17 weeks of the year.
Bridgestone first used the ground back in 2009, and the facility provides the conditions and technology to test tyres to the very limit allowing them to be one step ahead of their competitors. With sales of winter tyres increasing across Europe, the extension of the lease seems like a clever move in a changing industry.
